BREIS is a British‑Nigerian rap lyricist blending the golden era of hip hop with jazz, afrobeats and soul.
BREIS (pronounced breeze) is a masterful rap lyricist blending the rhythms of Lagos with the pulse of London. Influenced by legends such as A Tribe Called Quest, Fela Kuti, David Bowie and Stevie Wonder, BREIS’s music fuses elements of Hip Hop, Jazz, Soul, and Afrobeat, creating a rich sonic tapestry. He is renown for his charismatic high‑energy performances. He performs both DJ‑led sets and full live‑band configurations, adapting to club and festival stages.
A master of wordplay and storytelling, BREIS blends razor-sharp wit with vulnerability and charm. In 2013, he released The Brilliant EP on his independent label – Sol Music and started building a following across the UK and Europe. He has shared stages with the likes of Tony Allen, Big Daddy Kane and Angie Stone.
His incredible debut album – Stranger On Earth released independently at the end of 2025 has received praise and support from Capital Xtra, BBC radio 4, 1Xtra and many more. The project explores themes of belonging, love, loss and self-worth. With the album campaign and visual rollout underway, BREIS is ready to bring big vibes to your stage.
